Our aims
To establish The Kingston Arms as a ‘local of old’ whilst acknowledging modernity
2024 Cambridge CAMRA – Most Improved pub of the year
2024 Cambridge CAMRA – Dark Ale pub of the year
We aim to offer a wide range of beers – incl. a minimum of 6 cask ales split between regular and guest ales. Whatever one considers to be a craft beer, our aim is offer distinctive continental beers and lagers, some specially imported from the Familienbraurei Dinkelacker in Stuttgart plus the Bitburger Braurerei in the Rhineland-Palatinate, alongside some of the modern creative British beers dispensed by tap rather than hand-pump.
A selection of ciders and perries – keg, still and fruit.
A selection of wines by the glass together with a few more specialised by the bottle.
We regard an interesting range – not necessarily of the usual brands – of sprits to be essential.
Nowadays no pub can afford not to offer a range of non-alcoholic beers and cider, an interesting choice of soft drinks alongside tea & coffee. But please remember we are a pub rather than a specialised wine bar or coffee shop.
The Kingston has many traditional facilities such as electric lighting, main sewers, tables and chairs but also the most speedy Wi Fi available, all included in the price of your drink.
All forms of payment are welcome including good ole cash though we must insist on post decimalisation sterling.
There will be a range of board games on hand. We welcome the opportunity to accommodate league teams for crib or any such worthwhile pursuit.
The aim is have an old fashioned real fire to supplement the more modern central heating.
Small people with well behaved responsible parents will be welcome until 20.30 hours.
Four legged canines are welcome as long as they have their humans on a short lead.
